A GREAT 4th of July!

It was another amazing 4th of July celebration with our family.  Our small town puts on quite a show for the 4th with a great parade and activities in the park.

Small town parades -  gotta love em!!

Traditionally we have a picnic on the farm and MUST take pictures of Grandpa and Parker in the corn.  Are you  familiar with  "knee high on the 4th of July"?  From the idioms.thefreedictionary.com  Fig. grown as tall as it should. (Corn seedlings are proverbially supposed to be as high as someone's knee by July 4th.) (*Typically: be ~; become ~; grow ~.)

The phrase has become a part of our lives. We started this documentation process many years ago but most recently with our granddaughter.  Now it is our mission to make sure that we do it every year.

Won't it be great in 20 years seeing old Grandpa and college student Parker taking that famous corn photo?
(Also notice the newer camera abilities in three years!!)

*A BIG THANKS! to our military forces who make sure that we can have a great 4th of July holiday and everyday in America - Love to all!
